In our society today, people are gripped by fear to a varying degree. Worry, Anxiety, and Fear have been amplified to levels never seen before, and instead of talking about it, often times we internalize it. This series aims to address the causes of fear in our lives, and more importantly, lay out how we as the church can deal with fear in a healthy way.
Worry is our first step on the fear spectrum, and is defined as dwelling on problems/circumstances longer than we should. The very nature of worry means that we are looking for a solution to something plaguing our minds, so how do we overcome it? By letting God be our solutions to everything.

Anxiety is our second step on the fear spectrum, and is defined as a manifestation of stress in our bodies without a clear and present reason. The illogical nature of anxiety poses a problem; how do you fix something that has no logical basis in reality? By relying on community and God.

We live in a society obsessed with things, and as a result, it's easy to think that the more we have, the happier we'll be. Studies show, however, that this idea could not be farther from the truth. In fact, the opposite seems to be true, the more we obsess over material things, the more anxiety seems to affect us. So, in a world full of extrinsic motivations, how do we overcome our anxieties? By shifting our priorities from self-centeredness to generosity.
